Why the COBRA OPTM X FAIRWAY WOOD

🏆

Tour-Proven Performance

The Cobra OPTM X Fairway Wood is designed for the player who wants the best of both worlds — distance that competes with low-spin models and forgiveness that keeps mishits in play. If you're a mid-single-digit to mid-handicap player looking to upgrade your long game without sacrificing consistency, the OPTM X bridges the gap between tour performance and game-improvement stability.

Cobra's low-POI design uses strategic shaping and weight placement to reduce twisting and maintain ball speed across the face, while the FutureFit33 weighting system positions the CG for an optimal mid-launch, mid-spin trajectory that carries long and rolls out on landing. The result is a fairway wood that gives you the distance to reach par-5s in two on a good swing, but doesn't punish you with a wild miss when your timing is slightly off. For the player who's improving but not yet ready for a tour-profile fairway wood, the OPTM X is the perfect step up.

Pro Tip from Gregg Rogers Golf: Pair the OPTM X with the Project X Titan 60g shaft for a balanced launch-and-spin profile that maximizes versatility, and play the Titleist Pro V1 ball for consistent performance from tee to green.

🌀

Back-Weighted Design

The X model's back-weighted design delivers slightly more spin and added launch than the LS, in a classic, traditional shape built for speed and forgiveness from the tee and the deck.

⚡

Low POI Shaping

Strategic shaping and weight placement minimize Products of Inertia (POI) to dramatically reduce twisting on off-center hits — for a more stable, accurate clubhead that finds more fairways.

🎯

FutureFit33 Adjustability

FutureFit33 offers 33 loft & lie settings for optimized ball flight, tighter dispersion, and more distance — adjustable by ±2 degrees in any direction.

🔧

SMARTPAD Face

SMARTPAD technology keeps the face square at address across every FutureFit33 setting, so your alignment stays true no matter how you tune your loft and lie.

📏

5 Lofts — Tee to Green

From the 3-wood (15.0°) and 3HF (16.5°) to the 9-wood (24.0°), the COBRA OPTM X FAIRWAY WOOD lineup gives you a complete set of versatile fairway options.

The Technology Inside

• Back-Weighted Design Mass shifted to the back of the head adds launch and spin versus the LS, for an easy-to-elevate, forgiving ball flight.
• Low POI Shaping Strategic shaping and weight placement minimize Products of Inertia to reduce twisting on off-center hits for a more stable, accurate head.
• FutureFit33 Adjustability 33 loft and lie settings let you fine-tune flight by ±2 degrees in any direction for tighter dispersion and more distance.
• SMARTPAD Face SMARTPAD keeps the face square at address across every FutureFit33 setting, so your alignment stays true no matter the loft.

Great Stuff!

I got the opportunity to try my new OPTMs out on the course this week and was thrilled with them — a driver, 3 wood, 7 wood, and 9 wood. The feel is great and they have a sleek, impressive look. They're much lighter than my previous clubs which were nearly 30 years old. When I was able to square the ball up on the face, shots went long, high and straight without my having to try to kill it. These are my first-ever Cobra clubs — so glad I decided to try them!

Impressive

I found it very easy to use this fairway wood. I haven't had to make any adjustments on it, but I'm a newbie and so far I like my results.

Forgiveness and Adjustability

Great for off-center hits. The adjustability helps to get the perfect lie and face angle at address and impact.
