PING G440 SFT FAIRWAY WOOD

PING G440 SFT FAIRWAY WOOD

The PING G440 SFT Fairway Wood is the answer for players who fight a persistent fade or slice with their fairway woods and lose distance because the ball drifts right instead of tracking toward the target. The SFT (Straight Flight Technology) design positions the center of gravity closer to the heel, naturally promoting a draw-biased ball flight that helps you straighten out your trajectory without making swing changes.

For mid-to-high handicappers who avoid pulling out their fairway wood because they can't trust where it's going, the G440 SFT changes the equation entirely. You get the same Spinsistency face technology and high-MOI stability as the rest of the G440 family, but with a built-in correction that turns your miss into a playable draw. The result is more fairways hit off the tee, more greens reached from distance, and more confidence standing over the ball.

Pro Tip from Gregg Rogers Golf: Pair the G440 SFT with the PING Alta CB Black 55 Regular shaft for a smooth, easy-to-launch profile that maximizes the draw-bias effect, and play the Titleist Tour Soft ball for a soft feel and dependable distance on every swing.

  • Carbonfly Wrap Crown A lightweight carbon-composite crown wraps into the skirt, saving weight that is repositioned to lower the CG.
  • Free Hosel An internal Free Hosel design moves weight low in the head to lower the CG, boosting forgiveness and launch.
  • Draw-Biased CG A draw-biased CG location helps square the face at impact to fight a slice and bring shots back to the fairway.

Easiest club I've ever swung

This is hands down the easiest club I think I have ever swung — the ball always finds its way forward one way or another. As someone with a fade/slice bias, I can honestly say the SFT version helps close the face significantly. Off a tee it either draws or goes straight about 80% of the time, and I fade it about half as much as usual off the turf. Really like the lineup, and this is my first PING club — looking into the 2H or 3H next.
