TaylorMade TP5x Golf Balls

The TaylorMade TP5x is the distance-driven counterpart to the TP5, engineered for golfers who want maximum ball speed off the tee with a more penetrating ball flight. Built on the same revolutionary 5-layer construction with microcoating technology, the TP5x delivers a firmer feel and lower spin off the driver for players who want to chase every yard of distance without sacrificing greenside performance.

Why the TP5x Elevates Your Game: The ball is the one piece of equipment used on every single shot — and the TP5x is designed for players who prioritize distance and a solid, responsive feel. With lower driver spin and iron spin compared to the TP5, the TP5x produces a more penetrating trajectory that holds its line through the wind, while the cast urethane cover still delivers high wedge spin for precise short game control.

Who Should Play the TP5x: The TP5x is the ideal choice for players who want a firmer feel and maximum ball speed. If you generate higher spin rates naturally or want to reduce ballooning on driver and iron shots, the TP5x will help you achieve a more efficient trajectory that translates to lower scores. Tour professionals who seek distance advantage choose TP5x for its unparalleled combination of speed and control.

Performance Pairings at GRG: Pair the TP5x with a TaylorMade Qi4D MAX driver for explosive distance and a set of Qi4D irons for penetrating iron flights that hold greens. Your GRG instructor can analyze your launch conditions on Trackman to determine whether the TP5 or TP5x is the better match for your swing — schedule a ball fitting today.
